Broome

Broome is a coastal tourist town and a gateway to the tropical Kimberley region. It is situated on the traditional lands of the Yawuru people, and nowadays, it is a multicultural melting pot. You can visit stunning Cable Beach, laid-back breweries, pearl boutiques, and experience activities ranging from diving, kayaking, cultural guided tours, and unhurried camel rides. From March to October, when the moon is full, use your imagination to witness a staircase to the moon reflected in the mudflats of Roebuck Bay. Broome also has fascinating wildlife; if you're lucky, you can spot a rare bottlenose dolphin, as well as turtles, dugongs, or even a manta ray. The region is also famous for crocodiles, and you can meet them safely with experts at Malcolm Douglas Crocodile Park.

Join us on a journey to the tip of the Dampier Peninsula to experience the remote coastal wilderness area of One Arm Point and local Aboriginal Communities. Just a few kilometres out of Broome you head north on Cape Leveque Road. Travelling over rugged terrain on the unsealed sections of the road, the first stop is Beagle Bay Aboriginal Community. Here, you visit the famous Sacred Heart Church with its exquisite Pearl Shell Altar, built in 1918 by the Pallottine Monks. Heading further north, your next stop is One Arm Point, also known as Ardyaloon, visit this remote Indigenous community with amazing views of the Buccaneer Archipelago. The next stop is Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm situated on the tip of the Dampier Peninsula. Enjoy
a chef-prepared lunch followed by a Pearl Farm Tour. A family-owned business, this is Australia’s oldest operating Pearl Farm. Time for an afternoon swim in the beautiful turquoise waters at Cygnet Bay, or maybe sit back and relax or stroll along the beautiful white sand beach, taking in the amazing scenery.

A great afternoon tour taking in the highlights of Broome, providing an insight into the heritage of this charming town and colorful alfresco lifestyle. Beginning at Willie Creek, you will enjoy a sampler tour of the perils of the deep and hear what the early pearl divers had to endure. We continue to the Roebuck Bay
Lookout, for a brief stop, to take in the spectacular views of Roebuck Bay and Dampier Creek. The tour continues to Chinatown to visit Sun Pictures, the world’s oldest operating picture gardens. Then it is on to a stop at Matso’s Brewery to enjoy a beer-tasting. At Town Beach, learn of Broome’s One Day War before travelling on to the Japanese Cemetery which highlights the close ties the Japanese established between Broome and its pearling industry. Afterward, we move on to Gantheaume Point most commonly known for its red rock cliff face, dinosaur footprints, and Anastasia’s Pool. You then head down to Gantheaume Beach to enjoy some light refreshments and nibbles and watch the sunset.

This all-day adventure will take you off the beaten track and into Traditional lands to experience the beauty and wonder of the natural phenomenon, Horizontal Falls, and the stunning Dampier Peninsula in the world-renowned Kimberley region.
