Experience nature on your doorstep including spectacular flora and fauna and the turquoise pool of Emma Gorge.This morning, you’ll venture deeper into the heart of this iconic Kimberley wilderness to explore Chamberlain Gorge, a stunning three-kilometre freshwater oasis surrounded by towering escarpments. Enjoy a relaxing 90-minute gorge cruise, where you can feed the cheeky Archerfish before returning to Emma Gorge Resort via the station township.
After lunch, set off on a guided walk to the spectacular Emma Gorge waterfall (2.5 hours return – a good level of fitness is required, but the reward is well worth it). Take a refreshing swim in the large rock pool at the base of the falls and marvel at the breathtaking beauty of the gorge, considered one of the Kimberley’s finest.
Upon your return to the resort, the rest of the afternoon is yours to relax and unwind before regrouping for dinner.

After lunch, you’ll leave the highway and travel to Mt Pierre Station, where a track leads to the incredible Mimbi Caves, part of the 350-million-year-old Devonian Reef system. Guided by local experts, you’ll explore this breathtaking cave system, known for its vivid colors and stunning limestone formations. Along the way, hear Dreamtime stories and learn about one of the world’s most significant Devonian fossil sites from the local Gooniyandi people. Enjoy freshly brewed tea and traditional damper made with native seeds, prepared by your guides in the traditional way.
Later, you’ll continue to Fitzroy Crossing, a town shaped by the unprecedented flood events of 2023, where you’ll spend the night at the Fitzroy River Lodge.
