Dunsborough

Nestled on the scenic southwest coast of Western Australia lies the charming town of Dunsborough, just a three-hour drive from Perth. This gem has captured the hearts of locals, no doubt partly due to its breathtaking natural beauty, including Geographe Bay, coastal Yallingup, and Cape Naturaliste. The town is also renowned for its gastronomic delights, wineries, and relaxed surfing culture.
Between September to early December, Dunsborough's crystalline turquoise waters play host to a variety of whale species, such as humpbacks, blue whales, southern right whales, and minke whales, while dolphins, a myriad of native birds, and of course, kangaroos, can be spotted all year round.
Furthermore, Dunsborough and its surroundings hold immense significance for the Aboriginal heritage of the region and are rich in Aboriginal history. This area is the traditional land of the Wardandi (Saltwater) People and home to ceremonial sites that brought them together.
Bush meets the beach in this prime location for nature lovers. There’s no shortage of ways to immerse yourself in nature here. From snorkelling, surfing, swimming, boating, and fishing, to bushwalks and coastal hikes to simply lounging on the pristine white sands with local fish and chips, you’re sure to lose yourself in the natural beauty of the area.
