Darwin is a beautiful tropical city situated on the edge of Darwin Harbour and bordering a number of national parks and reserves, creating a fascinating, diverse mix of culture, people and nature. It is the gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Kakadu National Park and Litchfield National Park, and the isolated Tiwi Islands. The city is also steeped in history with indigenous culture in the region dating back tens of thousands of years.
