You can use the hop-on hop-off option to take a closer look at the sights if you wish, or just stay on board for a complete 2-hour sightseeing circuit. From the top deck, you can take beautiful photos as there is no window to spoil the view! Your tour includes a full commentary along the way by knowledgeable and professional drivers.

The 90-minute tour visits the island’s most spectacular locations, with insightful commentary shining a light on "Rotto’s" unique flora, fauna, history, and culture. The bus stops at two key vantage points – Wadjemup Lighthouse and the rugged West End, where passengers can hop off, take a short walk, and soak up the views. You might even meet a quokka or two along the way.
Rottnest Island is situated 19 kilometers off the coast of Perth. Getting to the island is easy as ferries depart regularly from Perth’s Barrack Street Jetty, Fremantle, and Hillarys Boat Harbour - or you can get there by air with a seaplane, air taxi, or helicopter.

Cycling is the best way to get around the island or there’s a hop-on/hop-off bus service that regularly runs around the island, stopping at some of the more secluded beaches and surf breaks.

You can spend your days exploring some of the most spectacular swimming spots, diving, and surfing breaks in the world, and a must-do is exploring the snorkel trails, with over 135 species of tropical fish and 25 species of coral to discover.

Depart Perth mid-morning and begin your journey from the Indian Ocean across the desert. After settling in to your cabin, enjoy your all-inclusive lunch on board and take in the spectacular scenery of the Avon Valley. The green rolling hills begin to give way to the harsher, but every bit as beautiful, desert plains. After lunch, spend the afternoon exploring the carriages and getting to know your fellow travellers. This evening, you will indulge in a 3 course dinner in the dining carriage before arriving late evening in Kalgoorlie, Australia's largest outback city. Here you'll enjoy a short play at Hannan's North Tourist Mine. Paddy Hannan's discovery in 1893 instigated one of the biggest gold rushes in Australian History, and this play tells the story of its beginnings and tales of The Golden Mile. After the performance, you will visit the Super Pit - the world's largest single open-cut mine. For a special photo opportunity, climb up on to one of the giant dump trucks! Return to the Indian Pacific for your journey onwards through the night.

Further along the track the ghost town of Cook awaits. Once a Nullarbor railway community important in the establishment of Australia's interior landscape, today the town of Cook is home to lonely buildings and a population you can count on one hand. Slow things down and relax at the Botanic Gardens, jump on the iconic Popeye Cruise along the River Torrens, or take the tram out to Glenelg to explore the popular metropolitan beach, dine in one of the many foreshore restaurants, or even enjoy the beach cabanas in summer months.
Adelaide is also lucky enough to be surrounded by some of Australia's most famous wine regions, and a stop into one of the wineries or the National Wine Centre is highly recommended. A 30-minute drive east into the hills will take you to Hahndorf, the oldest surviving German settlement in Australia, home to incredible food, strawberry fields and streets lined with artisan stores. On the way to Hahndorf, stop in at the Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens and the Mt Lofty Summit for a coffee with a view.
