$2,912Enter the Red Centre exploring some of Australia’s most incredible natural wonders. Starting in the quintessential Outback town of Alice Springs, you’ll go on a celestial journey through the glittering night sky with an expert astronomer, then hit the road to Western MacDonnell Ranges National Park (Tjoritja) to learn about its sacred sites with a First Nations guide. Make your way to King Canyon, then witness the scale and colours of Uluru at sunset and sunrise.
Is this trip right for you?
- Temperatures in the Red Centre can be extreme, so you'll need to be well prepared. Depending on the time of the year, daytime can be very hot (and the Australian sun is very strong year-round), so always use sun protection and drink plenty of water. In the evenings temperatures can really drop, so bring sufficient warm clothing too – especially in winter when temperatures can drop below zero.
- This trip involves some early mornings and on some days you’ll spend several hours driving through very sparse areas of Australia. Extra space can be tight, and conditions may feel a little cramped. Think of it as a great way to get to know your fellow travellers.
- Sunrise, sunset and weather conditions vary throughout the year, and the order of activities may change to ensure you have the best experience possible. On occasion, the First Nations experiences may not be available, in which case there will be alternative activities.
- This trip forms part of some longer combination tours. You might be joining travellers who have already spent some time together.
- Minimum age: 15 years old.
