Tour overview

Weave your way from Sydney (Warran) to Cairns (Gimuy) along Australia’s East Coast. Start by sampling some of Australia’s best wines in the Hunter Valley, get up close with koalas in Dorrigo National Park and soak up the vibes of Byron Bay. The good times keep rolling over state lines, as Queensland offers the wilderness of the Atherton Tablelands, the white sands of the Whitsundays, and the golden beaches of K’gari (formerly Fraser Island). By the time you wrap up in Cairns, you’ll have had a truly all-Australian experience.

Trip itinerary

Welcome to Sydney! Or Warrane, in the language of the Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, who are the Traditional Custodians of the land on which Sydney is now located. Your adventure begins with a welcome meeting at 6 pm, where you’ll meet your local leader and fellow travellers. After the meeting, get to know your group over an optional welcome dinner. If you arrive early, you could visit the iconic Opera House for a guided tour (advance bookings are recommended), to catch a show or to simply pose for a classic photo on the stairs. Right next door, you’ll find the Royal Botanic Gardens – the perfect spot for a picnic, if the weather’s right – plus plenty of restaurants where you can have lunch with a view of Sydney Harbour or grab some ice cream and go for a stroll along the waterfront.

It’s very important that you attend the welcome meeting as we will be collecting insurance and emergency contact details at this time. If you are going to be late, please let your travel agent or hotel reception know. Ask reception or look for a note in the lobby for more information on where the meeting will take place.
