Across five unforgettable days and four nights staying exclusively inside the World Heritage Listed Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park, you are invited on an immersive desert journey that celebrates ongoing culture, landscape, and connection. Walk 54 kilometres between two global icons: from the soaring domes of Kata Tjuṯa to the monolithic and mesmerising Uluṟu. Each remarkable day ends with refreshments, feasting, and rest in cosy beds at our superb environmentally sensitive accommodation, plus reinvigoration at the Private Lodge’s Wellness Centre. Along the walking trail of geographic wonders, cresting dunes, and Mulga woodlands, hear ancestral stories, learn of caring for Country, and savour the perceptible energy of Australia’s Red Centre. Beneath bright desert skies, gather to share stories by firelight and celebrate new friendships. Valley of the Winds Walk and Dinner in the Desert

The adventure begins in the small town of Yulara before setting off to the Uluṟu viewing area, where a warm welcome from Aṉangu awaits. With the immense journey ahead, experienced guides provide introductions and detailed briefings. The journey continues to Kata Tjuṯa for the Valley of the Winds Walk — a 7-kilometre looped circuit showcasing epic rock formations shaped over 500 million years. Two lookout points offer views of this elemental landscape, including riverbeds and Aṉangu meeting sites. Tonight’s rest is at Camp One, thoughtfully tucked into sand dunes within the National Park. Relax on the viewing deck with a cold, bubbly beverage while taking in a breathtaking sunset over Kata Tjuṯa, as guides prepare dinner under the stars. Sleep in canvas tents with cosy beds and standing room or choose to slumber outside in a swag beneath the stars — a perfect end to the first day, with more incredible moments ahead

Southern Kata Tjuṯa Dune

Today begins with a pre-dawn start, chasing the radiant beauty of a desert sunrise—a privilege few visitors experience in the heart of Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa National Park. As the first light illuminates the landscape, our guides serve a hearty breakfast, setting the tone for a day of exploration. Venture to the southern Kata Tjuṯa dune traverse, immersing ourselves in the rugged beauty of this ancient terrain. Midday brings a well-earned rest and lunch at Wiltja, a traditional shelter offering respite from the desert heat. Your journey continues across the desert plains, leading to Camp Two, thoughtfully positioned between Kata Tjuṯa and Uluṟu. Spacious canvas tents with plush beds await, offering comfort amidst the wild. Here, rejuvenate with afternoon tea and soothing foot baths, all while soaking in sweeping 360-degree views. As the sun dips below the horizon, enjoy refreshments, a starlit dinner, and celestial storytelling before choosing to sleep beneath canvas or under the stars.

Along the way, our guides share rich insights, and with a bit of luck, sharp eyes may catch the tracks of wildlife etched in the red earth. Midday brings a pause for lunch and rehydration beneath the cooling shade of a traditional Wiltja. As you journey closer to Uluṟu, its form and colors shift with every step, offering a dynamic and mesmerising view. This iconic landscape becomes the centerpiece of your stay at our Private Lodge—a refined retreat nestled in this extraordinary location, where every room boasts captivating views of Uluṟu. The path continues along the Lungkata Walk, with a pause at Muṯitjulu Waterhole for rest, lunch, and a deeper understanding of this sacred landscape. Aṉangu Elders share timeless stories and wisdom, passed down through generations, offering profound insights into their connection to Country. Standing at the base of Uluṟu is a humbling moment—a chance to absorb the immense strength and energy of this iconic landmark. The privilege of walking this land, guided by its traditional custodians, leaves a lasting impression. The journey continues to the Uluṟu-Kata Tjuṯa Cultural Centre, where two Aboriginal-owned galleries provide further insight into the culture and artistry of the region.The evening concludes at the Lodge with a communal meal, reflections by the firepit, and connections forged during this transformative adventure.
