Begin the day with the sounds of native birds and a specially prepared "Cobourg-style" breakfast. The morning's adventure involves exploring the Northern Territory's expansive Marine Park by boat. Cobourg's waters teem with diverse marine life, including six turtle species, dolphins, sharks, crocodiles, stingrays, mud crabs, and various fish. A highlight of the cruise is a visit to the Victoria Settlement ruins, a historical site that represents the British military's third unsuccessful attempt to establish a northern Australian outpost. The stone ruins, remnants of the 11-year settlement from 1838 to 1849, stand as a testament to the early colonists' challenges. Following the settlement visit, the boat journey back to camp offers opportunities to observe marine wildlife and engage in fishing. Upon returning to camp in the afternoon, guests can explore nearby beaches and creek systems, try their hand at fishing, or simply relax in a hammock with a book, enjoying the tranquil ocean views. The evening concludes with a delectable dinner featuring freshly caught seafood.

This region boasts the world's first RAMSAR wetland, characterised by unique freshwater paperbark swamps and billabongs situated remarkably close to the coastline. The journey continues along the northern beaches, significant turtle nesting sites, and areas rich in diverse seashells. At low tide, opportunities arise to investigate exposed coral reefs and rock pools, revealing a vibrant array of marine life. A midday lunch break precedes an engaging activity: learning and practicing traditional Aboriginal mud crab hunting methods, providing a hands-on experience with local culinary traditions. The afternoon includes a visit to the Park’s Cultural and Information Centre, offering insights into the region's natural and cultural heritage. Following this educational stop, the group makes its way back towards the campsite. This return journey allows for further appreciation of the Cobourg Peninsula's unique landscapes and ecosystems.
